Uptown is located on the Far North Side and is bordered by Edgewater to the north, Lake View to the south, Lincoln Square to the west and Lake Michigan on the east. Uptown is a diverse community that includes five neighborhoods; Buena Park, Clarendon Park, Sheridan park, New Chinatown and Uptown.
As you can probably figure out by the statistics below Uptown is mostly made up of condos. There is not a large number of single family homes or Multi-Unit buildings in the Uptown community. In recent years the community has seen a great number of new construction condos and conversions of old vintage large apartment buildings.
